@sashacakeschicago Acorn Hot Cocoa Bomb Tutorial The inevitable start of my autumn recipes cause we are just 13 Saturdays away from the coziest season!? Wipe the silicone mold with a paper towel saturated with vinegar or alcohol, as that helps with keeping the shiny finish of chocolate or candy melts To make the Acorn cavities, I used Sweet Tooth Fairy Meltables in Dark Chocolate and Pumpkin Spice; you can use any melted chocolate, candy melts or coatings Coating the silicone molds : I like using a brush , spoon, or cakesicle stick . Two thin coats are stronger than one, freeze each coat for 5-10 minutes, and before de-molding Once your chocolate or candy melts set: release the sides of your molds first before pushing out your shapes from the bottom Filling the cocoa bomb: I use 2 tbsp of hot cocoa mix and 2-3 small marshmallows (or 1 large marshmallow) Adhering 2 halves together: wipe one half on a hot plate, hot bowl, or skillet to melt the rim before attaching to the other half Happy Hot Cocoa Bomb making!#hotcocoa #hotchocolate #hotcocoabar #hotcocoabomb #hotchocolatebomb #hotcocoabombs #edibleart #artistsoninstagram ♬ Ode to Joy- Symphony No.9 in D Minor 'choral' - Lorne Balfe & Russell Emanuel & Steve Kofsky

@mycupof_char For me nothing screams autumn more than these cute little maple leaf cookies they smell amazing in the oven with maple syrup and maple extract in the recipe! [Maple leaf cookies] 1 cup (2 sticks), unsalted butter at room temperature 1 Tbsp, maple syrup 1 cup, granulated sugar 3 3/4 cup, all purpose flour 1 1/2 tsp baking powder Pinch of salt 2 large eggs at room temperature 1 tsp maple extract Gel food coloring: red, orange, yellow, green 1. In a medium bowl, sift all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt and set aside. 2. In a large bowl, beat butter, sugar, and maple syrup until light and fluffy. Add one egg and maple extract and beat until incorporated. Add another egg and beat until incorporated. 3. Add prepared dry ingredients into wet mixture in two parts and gently mix until soft dough forms. 4. Divide dough into 4 pieces: red, orange, yellow, and green (I made more red and orange than yellow and green) 5. Mix different colored doughs into one bigger dough. Using colored doughs from instruction #4, I made 3 bigger mixed doughs. 6. Dust the surface and rolling pin with some flour and place the mixed dough onto the surface. Shape it into rough rectangle and roll until it is 1/4” thick. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the freezer for 1 hour. 7. Cut out maple leaf shapes. Add the leaf detail with paring knife/butter knife (toothpick). Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the freezer 30 minutes. (You can mix the scrap dough, roll out into 1/4” thick, and cut out more leaf cookies). 8. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 350F. 9. Bake the chilled cookies for 10-11 minutes at 350F. 10. Cool on the baking sheet for 5-10 minutes. 11. Transfer the cookies onto cooling rack and cool completely. Enjoy! #foodtiktok #foodie #fallbaking #mapleleafcookies ♬ Maple Tree - Paul Alan Morris
